You all know from my last post that I have been working two jobs. I am not sure, however, if I clarified that I was working two jobs in one day. That’s right. I was getting off from my main job at the hospital then clocking into my next job not even 30 minutes later. Recently, I left that secondary job in favor of another secondary job at another hospital nearby. So yes, I’m technically still working two jobs, but I’ll only be working one job in a day. This will save a lot of stress and fatigue on my body and mind. However, that being said, “the COVID” has recently hit my small little town hard causing unforeseen schedule changes. What that meant for me was switching between night and day shifts for a brief period of time which caused a lot of sleep schedule changes and overtime in a short period of time. Thankfully, I like working nights so I had no problem taking the shifts. Furthermore, I like overtime. Lastly, I’m thankful I still have my health and a job! As far as the Summer reading program at my local library went…well I’m sure you can image…
I was intending to post much sooner, but that has been delayed due to the stress of working 2 jobs. This past weekend I finally got some R&R by going to the mountains which is the picture you see for this post. During my R&R I read a new book I have a post for. In fact, I have MANY posts ready to be typed out and uploaded, but I don’t want to overwhelm you guys. I will type them out and have them ready to go and try to publish them once a week to give you new content without giving you all my new content then making you wait again until I’m finished reading another book. There will be different genres coming soon to the blog as I’m participating in a summer reading program through my local library causing me to branch out a little bit and read things I wouldn’t normally pick up such as non-fiction or mystery. If you have a particular genre that interests you, keep a lookout because it may be one of the ones coming soon. I will also be making a list of all the books I have but have not yet…
I haven’t logged on or posted anything new in a long while. I apologize for that and hope to correct that soon. I found it difficult to write reviews because they seemed repetitive when books in some series I read have very similar plots. Perhaps I should not review each individual book, but a series as a whole in those situations? What are your thoughts on this matter? I wouldn’t want the reviews to get too long and it be a chore for someone to finish. Perhaps I’ll take this time to tell you a little more about your author. I work full time in a hospital in radiology. As you can imagine due to recent events, things have been a little crazy. COVID-19 came in and turned our world inside out. However, I am fortunate enough to still have a job and my health. I am also fortunate because my hospital is going above and beyond what I hear other facilities are doing to protect their employees, and for that, I am thankful. Something else that has transpired in my life since my last post is my becoming a homeowner. Let me tell you, people. Buying a home is…
