Hi! My name is Alex. I’m so glad you wandered your way to my blog! It may be pointless to say I love to read, but at its basest form, that is the reason for this blog. I. Love. To. Read. Reading is my happy place, my escape from “adulting.” On my days off from work, I could lay in bed and read all day. In fact, I may have done just that a time or two…or every opportunity.

I’ve read all different genres growing up, but my favorite has always been fantastical fiction. I guess that doesn’t come as a surprise either considering the content of my blog and the fact that I grew up in the Harry Potter era. In fact, outside of my beloved children’s books, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban was the first “big” book for me to own in hardback at 8 years old.

Through the years my preferred genre hasn’t really varied all that far, but I found a new love in sharing those books with others. I love being the one to introduce my friends to books they haven’t yet read. I enjoy telling them enough about a book to lead them to want to read it without giving away too many details. However, the best part is when they come back to me wanting to share their excitement over what they discovered and asking for more recommendations. This has been the natural progression leading to my desire to start a blog about books. I hope you enjoy what you discover here!
